Has 3 levels of firmness you can install the kit at - you can start off at a lighter level, and always bring it up higher if you want more firmness.
Delivers short firm shifts in direct correlation to throttle opening & load. Holds 1st, 2nd & 3rd gears to any speed, downshifts at your command.
Fixes many common causes of band failure & shudder, and has over-pressure relief protection to protect the transmission from excessively high line pressures.
Notes: Requires removal of the transmission pan to access the valve body, so be sure to have a fresh filter, pan gasket & 8-10 qts. of transmission fluid on hand when you do the installation. Also, make sure you use a proper torque wrench, one that reads in lbs./in. (inch-pounds), not the normal lbs./ft. (foot-pounds). Torque amount & sequence is important to avoid leaks, so just keep that in mind. This kit is not hard to install, but like anything it must be done right, and is best done by someone who has some general automotive experience & good mechanical "common sense." Figure an installation time of about 60-90 minutes depending on experience level. |
